VARAT undertook the installation of a lighting solution within the Central Bank of Burundi. The central bank wished to modernize its lighting system to reduce its energy consumption and improve the lighting ambiance of its premises. Following an in-depth study, our team proposed a complete installation using the following product range: LED Panels<\/a>, Decorative Bulkhead<\/a>s, and Emergency Lighting Blocks.<\/a> <\/p>

A landlocked country in East Africa, Burundi is a low-income economy where 80% of its population works in the agricultural sector. Located in the Great Lakes region, Burundi is surrounded by Rwanda to the north, Tanzania to the east, the Democratic Republic of Congo to the west, and bordered by Lake Tanganyika to the southwest. With 13.2 million inhabitants (2023), of whom 50.3% are women and 41.5% are young people under the age of 15, it is one of the most densely populated countries with a population density ratio of 442 inhabitants\/km\u00b2 (2020 demographic projection). <\/p>

Burundi has made significant progress in terms of quality and access to education.
